Tube Flip
Privacy Policy
Chrome extension · Last updated: 23 August 2026
In short: Tube Flip does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data.
Data we collect
None. The extension has no accounts, no analytics, no tracking, no cookies, and no background servers. It does not read, record, or send your browsing history, video history, search queries, or any other information anywhere.
How the extension works
The extension's content script loads on https://www.youtube.com pages so that
it can detect when you open a video, because YouTube changes pages without reloading the
site. It only becomes active on watch pages (https://www.youtube.com/watch),
where it adds rotate and flip buttons to the video player and changes how the current video
is displayed by applying a CSS transform to the video element inside your own
browser. On any other YouTube page it does nothing. All processing happens locally on your
device. Nothing leaves your computer.
Permissions
The extension requests no special Chrome permissions. Its content script accesses
https://www.youtube.com solely to insert the player buttons on watch pages and
apply the visual transform described above. This access is not used to collect or transmit
any data.
Third parties
The extension does not send data to any third party and does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
Children's privacy
Because the extension collects no data at all, it collects no data from children.
